Lichfield Pub Night
Overview
With thanks to Geoff Waits for running this event in the Staffordshire city of Lichfield.
This pub night is particularly aimed at getting together members in the Lichfield and surrounding areas, but all members are most welcome.
It is a great opportunity to have a drink together, discuss events and socialise - meeting Spice members old and new!
Geoff will be there to welcome you at The BitterSuite, where an area will be reserved for us.
About The BitterSuite: Situated just a one minute walk from Lichfield City Train Station (on the line from Sutton Coldfield etc) and Lichfield Bus Station, it is ideally located for those preferring to leave the car at home and enjoy a perfectly conditioned drink.
Real Ale (CAMRA club accredited, with member discount available), German beer (from their Bierkeller), Cider, Gin, wine or Prosecco are all served in prime condition (even the ale is housed in a temperature controlled environment to maximise quality). For those not drinking alcohol, there is an array of alcohol free options available. The BitterSuite is unusual in that there is no bar - their attentive staff will serve you directly at your table. Please note that The BitterSuite is cashless, so do remember to bring your plastic with you.
Whilst simple bar snacks are available (crisps, nuts, etc), The BitterSuite does not offer meals - but you are very welcome to bring food in (and they will provide utensils etc). The pub is only a few minutes’ walk away from the historic centre of Lichfield, which has plenty of eating options available to meet every budget and taste. Highly recommended and nearby are The Sefton Chip Shop (opposite the pub next to the railway bridge) and The Two Chefs Indian take-away (a little further down at 77 Upper St John Street).

Please note as from January 2024 Lichfield District Council introduced a new parking tariff, including fees for parking in the evenings:
