Burns Night Ceilidh- Marylebone

Burns Night London 2023 is a real highlight of the year. It’s a chance to celebrate the life of Scotland’s National Poet – Robert Burns – in a way he would have wanted: eating, drinking, dancing and laughter. 

We’ll be at St. Mary’s, Wyndham Place, Marylebone, W1H 1PQ this year. It’s a large venue with great facilities. There’s a huge dance floor, fantastic sound system and a fab space to eat. 

Doors open at 6:00 and dancing is from 7:00-10:00. There are some great bars in the area to continue the party after 10:00. The live band and caller will lead you through the steps, so no experience is necessary.

There is no particular dress code and you’ll fit in whether you are in full highland outfit, flowing ball gown or jeans and trainers. People do generally make more of an effort for Burns night. Some tartan is appreciated and you look good in it too!

Running Order for the Night

6:00 Doors open / bar open

6:30ish onwards food served buffet style. Haggis (Vegan/Vegetarian and Meat – you get to choose), Neeps (turnips) and Tatties (potatoes). The haggis is from McSweens. We also cater for gluten free. Once you have bought your ticket please email us and we will put you in contact with the caterer to arrange a suitable meal. 

7:00-8:20 Dancing

8:20 Break and Haggis is piped in

8:30 Address to the Haggis

8:35 Haggis piped off stage. Solo piping session.

8:40 Dancing

10:00 Evening ends with Auld Lang Syne auld lang syne lyrics
