For the night of the Proms, it will be time to don your best frock, be ready for a glass of something sparkling, (Italian hopefully!) and we can all enjoy the English sunshine (well fingers crossed), for an evening of magic, set in the grounds of Attingham Park Estate.

The first part of the evening will take you on a journey to worlds and galaxies far far away as the UK Proms Orchestra performs classical pieces and movie scores that are out of this world. Finishing with a rapturous finale of all the Last Night of the Proms classics such as Land of Hope and Glory, Rule Britannia, Jerusalem and the Sailors Hornpipe.

With the evening summer sun going down over the picture perfect Attingham Park, a drink in hand and breath taking sounds of the orchestra filling the air, it is guaranteed to be an evening and weekend away not to be missed.

On Friday 21st June we have the option to book the Roman Vineyard Tour & Tasting with Meal. This will be a great way to meet everyone on the weekend whilst learning about English Wines and this Roman Vineyard. The event will end with a meal before we head back to the hotel for the night.

The 2024 tour promises to be even bigger and better than ever before with a well known soloist (to be announced soon), more special guests and even more surprises.

About Attingham Hall:  Attingham Hall is an 18th-century English country estate with 200 acres of parkland and Regency Mansion. The original family who owned it could have populated a 19th century novel with generations of dysfunctional characters. That’s why visiting it is so entertaining. More can be discovered about the family here.

In 1947, when the oldest son Thomas died, he left the house to the National Trust. For a while, it was leased to a college but, in the 1990s, the Trust began to gradually bring Attingham Hall back to life through a process of careful and painstaking rediscovery.

The imposing entrance show glimpses of the vast mansion against silhouettes of cedars and expansive parkland. This includes champion Hereford cattle and a historic herd of fallow deer. All of this combined with the regency interiors epitomise a classical design with Italian influence, which Claire will be delighted to showcase to us.

Host & Everything Else

The Proms is an outdoor concert that will go ahead in all weathers. Although it is June and fingers crossed it should be warm and dry, this is the UK so please come prepared. Umbrellas are permitted, but please be considerate to those around you.

Steve Dell from Spice and Claire Dymond from WingsItaly will be looking after us.

Here at Spice your health, safety and wellbeing are of paramount importance. Whether travelling on holiday or attending Spice weekends away, in the UK or overseas, it is always advisable to have adequate travel insurance in case of emergency, cancellation, etc.

Travel insurance is an important aspect to booking a weekend or holiday, giving you protection against unforeseen circumstances that could otherwise spoil your trip. We also strongly encourage the need for a personal travel insurance policy that includes Covid 19 cover.

While we cannot recommend specific insurance policies as everyone’s requirements are personal to them, Spice have linked up with market leader Staysure Travel Insurance, which you may like to take a look at.
