Evening Walk: Around Harewood
Overview
Join us for a stroll around the perimeter of the Harwood Estate. Our route is roughly a square path around the grounds. As well as glimpses of the big house, we could see Red Kites, Red Deer and Fallow Deer on this route.
Afterwards we can call into the Harewood Arms for a drink.
Distance: 4¾ miles
Location & Itinerary
This walk is just short of 5 miles, there are some gentle hills to negotiate which are mostly on tarmac roads or farm tracks.
Harewood Village Hall car park
Coming from Leeds towards Harrogate on the A61, go straight on at the traffic lights where the entrance to Harewood House is on the left. After passing a pedestrian crossing take the next left into Church Lane (signed Harewood Village Hall). You soon come to the entrance to the Village Hall car park on the right. There is some parking available on Church Lane after 5:30pm, or park in the car park where there is an honesty box for £2.50.
The 36 bus between Leeds and Harrogate stops near Church Lane. Take the Harewood Arms stop.
