Walk - Rivers & Canals from Kew Bridge to Southall - 6.5 miles
Overview
Please meet in the station front café at Kew Bridge railway station, ready to depart at 10:00. We will take a flat, morning walk alongside the River Thames, River Brent and the Grand Union Canal past locks and a boat yard, over Bridges and past boat dwellers. We will stop for lunch in a free house pub that has featured in the Good Beer Guide for 10 years and was the CAMRA, West Middlesex pub of the year for 6 of those years. The shorter afternoon walk is flat, passing numerous locks that were built in the 1700's and a Brunel built bridge, enroute to Southall railway station from where we make our way home.
Please dress for the weather on the day. Your walk leader is Linda Richardson (07575 799909 for on the day), please ring or text if you are lost, late or can no longer attend.
